PeopleBot P3-DX
The PeopleBot P3-DX is built on a Pioneer P3-DX base. The extension to that base allows for human chest height interaction with the robot. The PeopleBot offers a touchscreen which is connected to the in-built computer for human to robot interaction. Since this robot can be used for research and development, the touch screen can be programmed with user specific software. Various accessories can be purchased for this robot which allows the user to customize the robot to suit their particular needs.
A remote user requires Windows XP or Windows 7 and the PeopleBot control software. The Bot stands 44" tall and can travel up to 1.8 mph. It requires a minimum connection speed of 1mbit/sec for control operations. During normal operations, battery life is approximately 8 hours.
